people for action. Project officer, fixed term until september 2008, salary range : £19475 - £21640 (Sussex ) pro rata. Part time (18.5 hours per week). Based in Eastbourne, covering Southern Horizon Housing Stock Area. The amicus housing group is seeking to appoint a project officer to assist on the delivery and further development of the money ways financial inclusion project in East and West Sussex. The project aims to assist residents through innovative methods, to gain access to local mainstream financial services. The role of the project officer is predominantly to develop innovative and effective ways of promoting financial inclusion services to residents of Southern Horizon Housing providing generic financial advice. The ideal candidate for this varied and challenging role will possess at least 1 year experience of : direct experience of working on financial inclusing or community based initiatives. Be able to demonstrate : knowledge of & empathy with the needs and potential problems of those who are financial excluded, knowledge of the benefits system and referral services, ability to draft clear & concise correspondence and reports, ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client group/audience.
